Shanka Cicani

Shanka CicaniShanka Cicani earned her Bachelors Degree from the College of Musica at the University of Tirana, Albania.  Her students have sucessfully won scholarships to study at prestigious music schools in France, Italy, Belgium, and the United States.  She has toured throughout Europe and was called to perform for Princess Diana's brother, the Earl of Spencer, during his visit to Albania. Shanka held a teaching position at the University of Tirana, Albania for over 23 years.  Ms. Cicani moved to Las Vegas in 2000.  She currently teaches at the Amadeus School of Music, the CSN Music Department, and collaborates with the Las Vegas Academy Orchestra as a para-professional.


Ray Pancarowicz

Ray PancarowiczsRaymond Pancarowicz, an Eastman School of Music graduate, was Instrumental Music Department Chairman (1987-2007) for the Virginia Governor's School for the Arts. He has performed with numerous ensembles including the Richmond Symphony, Nova Trio, and the Virginia Symphony, where he was assistant concertmaster. A former string and harp instructor with the Hampton and Norfolk Public Schools, Mr. Pancarowicz is the composer and arranger of numerous published works for orchestra (MSB Publications) and is also active as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator. He studied violin and conducting in the Netherlands with Mr. Sydney Harth (former concertmaster of the New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestras) after being awarded the prestigious SURDNA Foundation Arts Teacher Fellowship. After moving to Las Vegas, he continued his music career by teaching privately and performing in various productions such as "Phantom, the Las Vegas Spectacular!" A member of the Las Vegas Philharmonic, Mr. Pancarowicz has years of teaching experience and enjoys working with students of all levels.


Robert Taras

Robert TarasRobert Taras earned B.M. and M.A. degrees in Music Education from Ithaca College and the Eastman School of Music. He holds state teaching licenses in both Nevada and New York State, being involved in public school education since 1980. He has performed in several Las Vegas show orchestras, and now maintains a teaching studio of dedicated, talented students. Mr. Taras currently plays in the Henderson Symphony Orchestra, where he has previously served three years as concertmaster.
